Aylin comes from a diverse background, born in the Unites States and raised in Turkey. She is a certified yoga teacher and a professional belly dancer, choreographer and instructor. Her first belly dance teaching experience took place in Incirlik Air Force Base Community Center, Turkey. With her arrival to Wyoming, Aylin continued her teaching at the Eastern Wyoming College Community Center for 3 years. She moved to Laramie to attend the University of Wyoming (UW) in 2006. Here she started teaching for the UW Community Enrichment until the program ended. Aylin also taught at UW Half Acre and Laramie Recreation Center as a fitness and belly dance instructor. She started her yoga journey in 2009 when asked to be a substitute teacher for a Piloga class—a combination of yoga and Pilates. She immediately fell in love with yoga and wanted to learn more. After years of being a dedicated student of yoga, Aylin completed her 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training from the Dharma Institute for Awakened Living at Blossom Yoga in Laramie and registered through Yoga Alliance in March of 2018. Through pranayama, asanas and meditation, Aylin believes that yoga helps bring inner calmness and self-acceptance. She encourages students to move at their own pace and work slowly toward more challenging poses. When she’s not teaching belly dancing or yoga, Aylin is a college instructor and pursuing a doctoral degree in Mathematics Education.
